With Arduino you can program the Oxocard directly in the C++ language.

Installation

Download the latest Arduino IDE version from the Arduino website.

Scroll down to the Arduino IDE and click on the appropriate download link for your operating system.
On the next page you can click on “JUST DOWNLOAD” to download the data and then install it afterwards.

Open the preferences again:

Mac: Arduino > Preferences
Windows: File > Preferences

Add the following path to the “Additional Boards Manager URLs” column:


https://oxocard.ch/downloads/releases/package_oxocard_index.json

Then click the OK button.

Open the Boards Manager:

Tools > Board: … > Boards Manger…

In the Boards Manager you have to look for the oxocard and install it by clicking on it and then pressing the “Install” button.

After closing the Boards Manager, you can now select the oxocard:

Tools > Board: … > Oxocard

Download and install the appropriate CH34x driver for your operating system:

Mac: ch341ser_mac.zip
Linux: ch341ser_linux.zip
Windows: ch341ser_win.zip

For the driver to be detected, you may need to restart your computer.

Use the USB micro cable to connect the Oxocard to your computer and restart the Arduino IDE if it was closed after rebooting.

Select the correct port on which the Oxocard is connected:

Tools> Port> …

Example Mac: Tools> Port> /dev/cu.wchusbserial123
Example Windows: Tools> Port> COM4

Now you are ready to start programming the Oxocard. Open the first example:

File> Examples> Oxocard> Smiley

Try it by clicking the upload arrow in the top left corner.
